[Harp-L] No PayPal for Steve!



  Be forewarned, that although Steve Walter is a great guy he is having a problem with PayPal. If you purchase something from him, and I recommend that you do as the stuff I bought is in top shape, please do NOT send the money via PayPal.

  I just got an email from him saying that he can't access his account and I've spent over half an hour on the phone with their help desk trying to figure out what's going on. But they'll only tell me that the "transaction is complete" (which I can see). I asked them if they can send the fund to him in a check, but they can't based on my say so. Of course I should have expected that; it's his account, not mine.

  The help desk recommended that I cancel the transaction and then issue the check, but this only works if it's sent to an email address that's not associated with a PayPal account. So, no joy there.

  Right now I'm still trying to get the poor man his money but don't know what else I can do. I just don't want anyone else to make this mistake. Send it another way, if you can. Steve has been very patient, despite his frustration with PayPal.

  If anyone has had any success with a similar situation, I'd be very happy to hear about your solution. You can respond off list if you like.
