[Harp-L] Re: Controlling feedback
John, I have two super reverbs, a 1964 and a 1965 that I've had since it
was
new. The tone controls turned clear down shut down the sound completely,
always have and always will. I have never played through a "reissue", but it
sounds like it's a different animal, which is what I've come to expect from
Fender today, just ain't been the same since Leo left. JDH

With a super reverb or a bassman that would be no sound at all, no
feedback either. JDH
Nonsense. I've got a Super Reverb (Reissue). In either channel you can
turn all the tone controls down to "1" plug in and play and you get a
decent level of sound. Obviously, the volume control can't be turned
down when you do it, but all the tone controls certainly can. Don't know
about a Bassman, though. And i don't know about silver face Supers that
have a master volume control.
