Thanks for replying back - and for all the info. I didn't realize that
Seydel and Vermona harps have similarities in reeds - great news for me!

I am missing a "G" note off the C major chord. It is the same pitch as the
1st blow hole of a standard "G" diatonic. The reed slot is ~15.5 millimeters
long and 2 millimeters wide.

I have a Seydel Blues Session in "G" that is out of tune at some parts, so
I'm thinking I might be able to use the first blow reed of that harp...
I used to have and old Bandmaster in "G", if I can find it I will give that
a try first.

Aside from that the harmonica is in great shape. When I opened it up I
realized why it sounded so bad: all the windsavers were non-functional. They
are made of some kind of cardboard looking material and almost look like
they got wet and later dried out completely. They are basically "frozen" in
place with just enough gap to let some sound through, but not much. I
re-valved a section of the harp and cleaned up some residue that made some
reeds stuck and it now sounds great! It will take me a while to finish
valving the whole thing, but I should be done with it in a couple of weeks -
pretty exciting stuff!

I'm restoring an old Vermona 48 Chord harp I picked up at a pawn shop when I
was living in Hungary a long while ago.

One of the reeds is missing - does anybody have any idea what reeds would
fit that harp? I am pretty good at replacing a reed as long as I don't have
to rework the reed length and width

Any input would be greatly appreciated!

Sounds sweet. Can you give me some dimensions on that reedslot? 

The first place I would look would be on a Chromatic from Seydel, which used
to Vermona during some of the DDR years. Second place would be on some
Seydel tremolos. Seydel has been using the same reed profiles pretty much
since the 1800s.
Actually, probably the best thing to do would be to purchase one of the East
German Bandmaster chromatics, they aren't worth much, you can find 'em cheap
on Ebay. Godspeed on this worthwhile project.
