Did he record under another name by any chance?

The double CD collection "Harmonica Swing, Années 20-30-40-50" (Frémeaux FA 5096) covers swing recordings made on chromatic harmonica in France between 1935 and 1952 (despite the title which implies that it goes back to the 1920s).

Artists include Larry Adler (recording with Django Reinhardt and Stépahen Grappelli), Hubert Giraud, Danny Kane, Max Geldray, Quintette Dupont-Durand, Borrah Minevtich, Les 5 de l'harmonica, Hotcha Trio, Trio Marnhy. However, among the harmonica players listed in these various groups, no mention of Sava Nepus.

Hi All,

Does anyone out there have any information on Sava Nepus who played in France
during the 1930's?  He was one of the "founders of the Hot Club"
which included folks like Django Reinhardt.  

The reason I ask is because his son, Ira, is a great trombone player that I had
the tremendous pleasure of playing with last night at a wedding.  I was quite
surprised when he turned to me during the sound check and said "that's
beautiful, my father was a jazz harmonica player"!  

I would love to know if there is any info out there.  Anything in Peter
Krampert's Encyclopedia?
