[Harp-L] jam cues

I like to play off the guitar lines, call and response.
Even better, harmonize a horn riff in thirds with the
guitar player. (rare)
 
When no one is directing the jam tune, the confident
(aggressive) players dominate the leads. How do you cue
the band to take a verse each, or four measures each
and go around? 
 
When it happens, it's very exciting for all! Players
are on their toes and building off each other's solos,
and the audience catches the energy, too.
