In taking a quick listen to Hard Again, you are absolutley correct. Cotton is goose-steppin all over Muddy's vocals and Johnny's solos. Only he could get away with it! Butter is a much better example of 'non-steppin' playing or Big Walter Horton on Willie Dixon's "I Am the Blues"
