Re: [Harp-L] sorry

now we have someone with a good knowledge of humor.
thank you Bulldogge.
I will apologies for my last writing, maybe I did get a bit offended and tried my hand at being amusing.
I understand I am a freshman back in high school with a bunch of seniors. except I'm in bazzarro world and instead of the jock having the upper hand ........
no pun intended or maybe so..
I'm not sure how I found this site, ok blame it on a link. The point is I understand my place.
I will sit back read what you all have to write and maybe digest a few things. and maybe in a few years I will be allowed to ask some real questions.
You see as much as it is hard for you to answer a simple question, it is hard for me to try and digest what 2nd position is in relations to 3rd or 5th (who's on 1st, no what on 2nd, idontknow on 3rd). I know of bends, and try but I don't know much more than that...
its not fair to any of you for me or others like me to ask you to teach us.. this is not the place ( I have learned ) yes I can read between the lines.
I also know that on this site there are those who truly enjoy teaching and giving. and this is what I always thought music was all about..
the pure joy of sound, with a period of pure silence with just a touch of change and growth.
so I will sit back and enjoy. for those few who have become my friend and dropped a few hints here and there I thank you and you can still drop me a private line. I do appreciate that.
I don't mean to insult the ones that have no patents for newbie (freshman).
for this is a site and a place for the advancement of harmonica players.
advancement being the key word. an organization to keep the instrument alive. We have too many kids out there who want to play the guitar.. I was one of them but for some reason loved the harmonica... but felt it was just a toy and not what real musician played . at least known that I knew of at the time... at least now my teenage son (ops just turned 20) can hear the harmonica sound on commercial and songs and points them out to me.
I have learned a lot, and have used what I learned.

one last thing (I know your glad). I would like to know of a very good book, DVD for learning how to play the harmonica.
I have a few but Barrett seems over my head. and the dummies book seem to simple and don't have a DVD that show you the how's and good songs to play that don't have the harmonica (play along).
as with anything else such as the amps or which harmonica to get is explain in most of the books. its what the books don't explain that's hard... that's for us freshman to go out wondering in the woods to learn..

thank you ( and trust me I will never stop learning, enjoying or just plain having fun with the harmonica)

  Subject: [Harp-L] sorry

I posted the wrong subject in my last post--it should have been "re:
  Harmonicas Made in USA?"

Sorry for any confusion--I was going to write on the "new to
harmonica" thread, but then I realized that if I was actually funny I
wouldn't be writing to a harmonica forum in the first place.
