Don't feel badly, Abner. You are experiencing the same frustration that about 90% of all beginners go through. It was for this very reason that Dr. Bahnson (and I) went through all the trouble to insert cameras in the mouth, perform ultrasound on the tongue and diaphram, tubes down the nose, exposed ourselves to our life-quota of X-radiation, and even almost drowned Howard Levy by pouring water in his mouth.
As an aside, my 3-year old daughter (turns 3 next week) just picked up a harp off my desk today and played a 2 draw-bend. Something that I was not able to do until 20 or so years later. Needless to say I'm both very proud of her... and a bit envious.

since I am a newbie that helped a lot. its is so hard to try and understand what is being done when you cant see it being done,, I wish I could slow it down and know more of what's being done.... I know I ask for allot...
in fact I think I'm being addicted to these chats and not practicing,,, hoping to see the holy grail and yelling eureka I got it....
will now lunch with the family...

...its been so long, I had forgotten that I actually have one of the
aformentioned videos (from the fiber optic camera inside the harp comb) on
my website: http://www.turboharp.com/Company/CompanyVideo.asp - see lower
right two clips. However, the one I'm really thinking of is somewhere in my
archives. I never thought anyone would be interested in seeing this video -
otherwise I would have uploaded it as well.
