Re: [Harp-L] New Answers to an Old Problem Sabine Solo

I'm quite happy with mine. I used the solo before I got the rack mount fbx2400 and am quite happy with that as well. The sabine is consitered a notch filter wich only cuts 1/10th of an octave so it should minnimally cut tone and does for me. I used it at montreux (Youtube link below) in 2004 and continue to use it wheneveer I play. I do wish to A/B with the Kinder and will post the results when I do.
Having said all that, $$$$ was the issue.

I tried the Sabine Solo for several months and finally gave up on it. It
does kill feedback if you set it up right, but it takes a chunk of your
tonal spectrum with it. I don't think any electronic feedback solution is
perfect, but the Sabine was not workable for me.

Yes there is a big difference as the Kinder is made specifically for using
old vintage mics for playing harp through vintage guitar or tube amps. Of
course there is a big price difference in the two also. I play out a lot so
it's just a cost of doing business to me and so I use the best I can afford
at the time on all my equipment.

Do you feel there's a big difference in functionality between the Sabine and Kinder?
