Once upon a time I used to have a black face pre-CBS fender Deluxe  
reverb.  It was a pretty high gain amp.  This is precisely the sort  
of amp the AFB+ works best with. One is not likely to get a clean  
sound out of this amp anyway, so the tendency of the AFB+ to add a  
little distortion is not a problem with an amp like this.  It  
enhances the amp's tone.  A very good match.
