Thank you for your very nice message Bill :)
There is one from Normandy living in USA for years already (Frédéric Yonnet).
I also thing about a very good french player whose the name is : Olivier Ker Ourio (Chromatic).
An other making beautifull music is Michel Herblin.
Perhaps the most famous of all is Jean Jacques Milteau, also Greg Szlapczynski (Polish but spent more time in France than Polland, and installed in France), Jean Sabot (Celtic Music), Nico Wayne Toussain (living in Miami now I believe), Christelle Berton ;-), Paul Lassey (post lots of video as well on YouTube and very good teacher, also via Internet)... The problem when you start to give names is that you forget lots of great people... In Belgium there is Jean Toots Thielmans (Adopted by USA ;) ...who had to wait for a while before to be recognized in Belgium), Thierry Crommen, Geneviève Dartevelle...
In fact dealing with the french harp players and french mother language speaking I made a blog that I keep alive and I intend to keep it up and more and more complete with the time... I added some small flags getting the page to be translated via Google translator for all of you, in love with harmonica like me and other :) ...the rest of the familly ;) ...
Perhaps there is better than Google Translator, but I don't want to put money for this blog because I make no money at all (I don't want it commercial,NEVER)... I just want to share with all what I know !...
My blog is here (click your flag ;) ...) : http://harmonica-francophone.over-blog.com/
I think the article on Sébastien Charlier on Delphi'Muz is very good (there was an other in September I believe).
I was also lucky enough to be invited by Sébastien Charlier to the very last day of "Precious time" Mix... I am about to put an other article on Sébastien when possible (still some missing photo because to make a bit more space and easy the reading). I tell you here when I do it ! Benoit Felten also kows a lot Sébastien, I don't know if he wasin France at this time, but I am pretty sure he was also invited by Seb...
The MySpace of Seb.Charlier is: http://www.myspace.com/sebcharlier
Just have a look to my french speaking blog and I let you perhaps discover some very nice player from France, Belgium, Switzerland, Québec, etc...
I am sure if you look for there friends on MySpace, links etc... you can search for other that I would have forgotten...
Harmonicalement
Patrice Rayon
PS: I am trying to set an other blog for the rest of the world...just links, nothing exceptionnal but could be interresting for any people in love with harmonica.
http://harmonica-world.over-blog.com/ (there are some flag there as well ;) ...)
