Re: [Harp-L] Jazz-Blues Fusion

Thanks for posting that Jerome - yes Sebastien Charlier's amazing! I think getting to see him live next year might be on my new year resolutions list. Do you know of a good place to see him or does he have a residency anywhere?

France is so well off for great harp players, it would be good if there was a way of finding out more about the french harp scene for those of us whose french isn't very good - you can go to Paris and be back in time for breakfast from here.

I get turned on by things I haven't heard before, so as long as it's done with taste, every innovation is good with me.

Cheers

Bill

I know Sebastien Charlier is preparing a Rock-Fusion album which should be
available in January, with an amazing international crew: Alain Caron on
Bass (Uzeb), Curt Bisquera on drums (Tina Turner, Elton John, ...), ...
Short extracts are present here:

Sebastien having a wide background, having played jazz with Didier Lockwood
and blues with Keith B Brown, I guess this album should be extremely
interesting!!!
But I think Benoit Felten knows more about it than me.

Best regards,

I love the Jazz-Blues fusion of the Paul Butterfield Blues Band in their
later years before they broke up. Does anyone know some other albums or
bands that have that kind of style? I have John Mayall's album, titled "Jazz
Blues Fusion", but it really isn't jazzy at all. Not like the PBBB.
