I've spent a few Tuesday's at Charlie Leighton's with him and what a treat..

BTW...it IS the END of an ERA, Charlie has finally moved into a Nursing Home
in NY and left the 58th St. apt after 50 some odd yrs ...he actually started
his 1st recording studio there with Phil Ramone in the early 60's!!!

PS...Last week, I got a phone call from a recording studio on Madison Ave,
they heard I was involved with Harmonica in NY, they are moving the studio
and were gonna throw away TONS of 1/4" tape with box's marked Leighton,
Doucette, Toots and many and a great player and friend of Charlie's from
Uraguay Roberto something???...I saw STOP, so NOT throw them away and made
two trips in to pick it all up. I will get this stuff to Charles Spranklin
and maybe we can get SPAH's help to have it all archived....what a Treasure!
