Could you provide a link to the harp-l post you refer to? That way people could see exactly what was said, which might make it easier to explain.

I recently read an article on harp-l (it was an old one)
and it said i could change an A harp cross harp riff into a fourth position
riff using a G harp!
Because A harp = E key in cross harp
G harp = E key in fourth position
Please help because i really don't understand!!!
