Re: [Harp-L] Making my own amp...which Celestion?

Ditto on both of Steve Warner's points. The 8A125-0 Weber speaker is the ne
plus ultra of 8-inch blues harp speakers. I feel the same way about it's
10-inch brother, the 10A125-O. The tone is outstanding, and I use this
speaker in my SF Champ.

However, these are quite expensive and the alnico speaker does not fit in
all tweed Champ-style cabinets. While trying various speakers for my Pro
Junior harp amp project, I found the inexpensive Weber Signature ceramic
speakers with smooth cone to be excellent for harp. The tone is warm and
full with nice tearing along the edges of the notes.

As for getting 15 watts out of a single EL84 tube... that will be a trick.
Did you mean EL34?
