[Harp-L] Screw fell out of my Vintage 1923
I hadn't played my 1923 in a while so yesterday I picked it up and
"rattled". Not rattled like it was blown but like there was something
loose inside.......it didn't seem to effect it's playing but it was
puzzling. I opened it up only to find one of the screws had fallen
completely out and was just rattling around between the reed plate and the
cover. I figured the threads on the draw plate was most likely stripped
but I tried it anyway. It went right back in. I checked the others and
they were all loose.
My question is has anyone else had the same problem with the Herings?
I've never had it happen to any harps before, but now I feel like I need
to pull the covers off of all them to check.
One good thing about it though........I did open up the covers since I was
already in the neighborhood.........:) Don't know if it is actually any
louder but it sure seems to be to me............
Thanks
Jeff
