The latest issue of Fine Woodworking on the newstand in Barnes and Noble
had an article on  this paint if you'd like to see some pictures of it.  I
just happened upon it after reading the earlier post.  You might have a
look if you'd like to see it.

Ray:  Milk paint is how people in the 'old' days used to paint  
furniture...those colours we're so used to seeing: green, blue, red, 
yellow...
 
they mixed powder with milk...to get milk paint. It's made a comeback in 
the 
past few years...due to the success of 'shabby chic' styles in furniture,  
and as Dave explains: one can mix up only as much as needed.  It's very 
cool

How long does the oil last? Does one need  to re-apply after a while?  
Do it get gummy after a while?

Any  way you can do a UTube of the Milk paint? Never heard of that  stuff.
