[Harp-L] Re: Koch Chromatic

Hello, Koch Fans.

The important differences between the Koch Chromatic and a Chrometta:

The Koch is Richter-system note placement, the Chromettas are solo-system
note placement.

The Koch has no windsavers, the Chromettas have windsavers.

The Koch has a wood comb, the Chromettas have plastic combs.

The Koch has a short slider, the Chromettas have longer sliders.

The Koch uses nails to fasten the reed plates to the comb; The (newer)
Chromettas use nuts & bolts.

The Koch has "in line," reed placement (one scale's reeds are all on the
same reed plate), the Chromettas are "diagonal" reed placement (one scale's
reeds are diagonally placed on the top, then the bottom reed plate).

Koch Chromatics are available in a 10-hole model; The Chromettas are
available in 8-,10-, 12-, 14- hole sizes.

Koch chromatics are available in the keys of C or G; The Chromettas 8-,10-,
and 14-holers are in C only. The Chrometta 14 is available in C and G.
