Re: Subject: [Harp-L] quick question
I'd much prefer to pay via paypal than give some unknown person my credit card info. Many of these vendors are mom and pops and who knows, maybe dishonest or just plain careless with the private info. I freaked when I went to buy something from harp depot and saw they were writing everyone's credit card info on a pad in clear view laying there, even when they were away from the little table they were using. quick shot with a cell phone camera and I would have been in business if i was less honest.
i like the convenience of immediate payment and choosing to pay from my bank account or credit cards. Yeah, i have to trust them too but they are at least certified in a number of ways on the security thing and i've never had a problem or heard of anyone who has. with a service that's used by millions of people every day there will be some issues, as with your banking sites and any other web site.
