What other instruments do you play? Can you sing? Have you had formal
training? Did you hang out in the high school band.? Did you put your
time in?
Most bands want musicians that are flexible. Most musicians are able
to play a variety of roles. Most of the well known harp players do
this well: Stevie Wonder, Howard Levy, Toots, Norton Buffalo, Little
Walter, Bob Dylan, the list goes on.
Helps if you know how to hang as well.
