Get down  Robert.................you da man. To each his own. I think it just 
matters what  the person wants to do with his instrument. Personally, I just 
try and pick up  something from everybody I play with, and along the way I 
have learned some  theory. Enough to know about keys and the circle of 5ths 
and...... .........so  on. It gets me by. Others can do what they want as far as 
learning lotso theory.  It helps but it aint mandatory.
