For those of you who are seeking to expand you gigs:

You might consider a blues in schools kind of approach: You contact the 
school district near where you play your gigs and do an afternoon show for the kids 
-- before the evening gig for the adults.

Or a blues seminar for the local community education ...

PBS website has some ideas along this line about how you come up with the 
proper wording and scheduling ("lesson plans") or maybe some information for your 
own edification...
