Hi Ian,

I think the Roland Amp doesn't really count as an solid state amp because a 
microprocessor tries to make it sound like a tube amp - that's why it sounds 
so good, no?

And another tip for a tube amp (and speaker) simulation: The Sans Amp by 
Tech 21. I love that thing. To me it sounds lot better than the Line 6 
stuff. And it's only a little inexpensive analogue box.
