For me a loud amp is like this... I turn up the amp to the max...that allows 
me to play very soft and still have my tone and I'm still heard...
Dynamics come from the basics..playing acoustic, I know...  but a loud big 
amp allows me to be even more dynamic..
I also use my Harpking to play in my acoustic duo when we play jugband 
songs... playing on a Seydel lowlowF through a Harpking is big fun... it 
sounds like a jug!!
