Country vs blues harp
In general: In country you play mostly the melody--usually use a major
pentatonic scale (or mixolodian). You don't use a lot of bent notes or
octaves. You don't play through the whole song, you just play a solo. With
fiddle and harp, doubling the melody can sound sweet.
Mickey Rafael (Willie Nelson) is probably the best harp player at staying
inobtrusive but really adding to the song.
