RE: [Harp-L] "Pre-War" Harmonica
You might try checking out your local library--I've found Sonny Boy I and
Sonny Terry CDs there, as well as Sonny Boy II, James Cotton, Charlie
Musselwhite, Bella Fleck (w/ Howard Levy), etc., etc. Not a bad way to
increase your exposure to different players w/out spending any money. Heck,
ride your bike there, and you won't even need to use any gas ; )

Check out these CD's Not all of the music on these
CD's are blues but very worth checking out!
Harmonica Blues: ?Great Harmonica Performances Of The
1920s and '30s? and ?Harmonica Masters? from Yazoo
records and ?The Best Of The Memphis Jug Bands? and
?Memphis Harp & Jug Blowers? by RST Records.
Yes Sonny Boy 1 in the one of the best examples and is
not even mentioned on any of these CD's but the CD's
are rich with amazing examples of early harmonica.
