Got up early this morning. Actually, dog woke me up. Long before
sunrise. So I let him out and booted the puter and read some
emails. One email was about a flea market up in Stuart. I
figured, since some of my friends were going, I might as well make
the hour long trip on I-95 and see what goodies I might find.
And goodies I did find.
Got two ancient green bullet mics with high impedance controlled
magnetic cartidges and another old busted Shure 444 with a 99A86 CM
inside.
And there was a guy with old radio tubes. I got NOS 6BQ5 12AX7A
(2)12AT7 and (2) 6X4WA
I now have extra tubes for my Kalamazoo2 and two Green Bullets to
fix up. The cartidge from the 444 went into a JT-30 I had that was
weak, and lemme tell ya, it ain't weak no mo! And the 12AT7 in the
Zoo2 really made a difference.
I'm a happy harper today!
PEACE
