Hey Chris M,
You should a' called me,-) don't hold me to this as I'm wingin'
it from my head w/o checkin out the Hendrix record.
hope there are no typos....I'm getting ready to play tonite at BB
Kings in NYC with Jimmy Vivino and Willie Nile, a tribute to Bill
Graham,
so maybe I can use this lick tonite, thanx for reminding me!,-) Keep
me posted where your band is playin in good ol' Jersey and I'll try
and make it down.
here tis' for band in key of G (on a C harp= 2nd position )
7d--------------7d 6d 6b 6d 5b 6b-------
5d 5b 4d 5b 3d 4d--------
5b 4d 6d 6b-------------------
down the octave you can't get the low B note but you can skip it and
let the gtr hit it
it sounds great down low as you got some cools bends etc...this is
where you heard me play it!
(bend into this )3d----------3d~ 2d 3d~ 2b 2d-------
2d~ 2b 1d 2b (skip no B) 1d-------
2b 1d 3d~ 2b--------------------
*~these are all 2nd degree bends.....hope this works,-)
BTW, thought I'd let the list know I'm home a bit before the spring
and summer travel get heavy so I'm taking on a limited # of "serious"
students, so feel free if your in the NJ-NY-PA Tri State area to
contact me OFF LIST for details............. (Both Chromatic and
Diatonic)
all the best and Happy New Year!

Hey hey,
I was hoping someone can post the tab for the Hendrix
refrain on
"Third Rock From the Sun". You know the Waaah, wah wah wah wah wah
wah wah,
etc. part. I once heard Rob Papparozzi do it on harp and it sounded
perrrrfect.
The guitar player in the band I am in uses this Hendrix part
during his solo
on Buddy Miles' "Changes". I almost but not quite got it going with
him in
unison. I would like to perfect it. I do it on a C harp 2nd pos.
Any help would
be greatly appreciated. By the way when doing the head to "Changes"
I use a Bb
harp up towards the top while the band plays in G. I can't firgure
out why
this works but it lays out nicely.
thanks,
Christos
