i don't think it does.  it may be that the lack of response is because
people are skittish about churches, and about second guessing
what someone else might find offensive.  you might be more specific,
eg, "we're ok with the blues, but our audience would be offended by songs
about drinking and gambling".  most performers have a repertoire that
they can tailor to a given audience. 

if you're looking for a particular genre, say so.  go out and catch local
bands in your area.  talk to the ones you like.  even if they're not suitable,
they might know someone who is.  or they might be happy to tone things
down a bit if need be.  but nobody knows what's "too offensive" but you.
