RE: [Harp-L] New fender amp coming soon.

Chris, Chris, Chris. Note the ":^)" after my remark. It was in jest, but
did represent some degree of reality. You're reading too much into that.
I wasn't saying at all that "harmonica players don't care". For sure
there are many devoted customer from these custom amp builders, for sure
there are many out here who will be anxious to try these amps from
Fender. Hopefully many who will chime in with suggestions based on their
experience and expertise. I'm not either of those yet, still trying to
figure out how to work the 10-hole, so all I could offer was a flippant
remark :^)

So it's all good my friend. I think/hope you'll get some good feedback
here. If Fender is serious I'd tell them about these three custom amps
that are really the benchmark, that much I don't think you can argue. So
they'd have to find a way to mass produce that quality and at a much
lower price (let me know how that works out for them!). Otherwise I'm
sure folks here will support the "working man" harp guys that put their
passion into building these. I know that's what I'd do.

Even if they come close, of course I'm sure many, many harp players will
continue to support Sonny, Scott, Brian just because they are the
'Cadillac', just as many motorcycle riders buy direct from the showrooms
while others purchase custom jobs.

Personally, I'm excited that major manufacturers are starting to come
out with harmonica specific gear. I own a Fireball mic and love it. I'm
hoping that Digitech or someone comes out with a harp-specific unit
also. Can you work with them next?!

It's all good....

Bill

Thanks for the input Bill. Finally somebody gets a major musical
manufacturer to acknowledge the harmonica as a legitimate instrument and
now the harmonica players don't care? Seriously the meteor and
harpgear amps are incredible amps but there are thousands of harmonica
players that have not heard of them. Before you found this list don't
you wish there was more "good" harmonica stuff available to the masses?

fender won't make anything as good as Scott or Brian but all of you have
an opprtunity to get a company like fender pointed in our direction.
Lets not be so myopic about this, with harmonica related gear from one
of the world's most formidible manufactures comes real endorsements.
despite the fact that Scott and Brain make great amps, I'd like to note
that most of the players on the circuit today still use Fender despite
having the chance to use other gear.
