He is good man,however to my ears it is very difficult to appreciate what he is doing in terms of stops,harmonics,etc.Suffice to say that I tend to think of x2 stops as the sounds Butter plays in,Driftin Blues just before he switches to acoustic,or George Smith playing chrom.Essentially,splits,octaves et al.I still dont know of any player who frequently plays the 1 draw-3/4draw split in practice,although its often mentioned/cited as a good example of x2 stops.Apparently Jacobs used this kind of stop alot but with his use of amplification and , needless to say ,his innate virtuosity,its difficult,if not impossible to say exactly when and where.

This video has double-stops galore. Anytime he's playing two pairs of strings on the mandolin at once, it's a double stop. Bill Monroe is king of the double stop.
