[Harp-L] Valved Diatonic

I need a little help here, I just got a valved harp and I can't seem to  
work out the blow bends.  I am still a greenhorn so I know it's me not the  
harp.  It sounds something like a goose being abused when I give it a  
try.  Is there a technique that I'm missing.
