Metal's even worse in regards to condensation. It's about the thermal mass of the metal being more persistent. Tighter reed slots aggravate the problem also. I will not play my brass Filiskos outside live on a cold day unless I can warm them up first. Invariably I'll choke the 4 or 5 draw mid solo. fjm
