The Rod Piazza and The Mighty Flyers , is by all means not a one man show.
Granted , Rod is a fantastic player , performer, boss man and a great guy
with no ego problem. He is so humble and will sit talk shop as long as you
want. But his band , all are stars in their own right and Rod certainally
lets all strutt their stuff throughout the whole show. Why we haven't had him
at a spah convention is a mystery. I was asking him that question, a couple
of months back and he was very curious about spah but felt that spah
wouldn't want him there with all the new talent today. His testimony as a
harmonica player alone is worth asking him. We sat and talked about his time
with players like Jimmy Reed, and so many greats of the past , I mean he's
been there , done that, and got the t-shirt.
