An SBS works well but there is that deep bend.  At least you'll get the 
range you need.  If you can wrap your brain around it the Melody Maker 
tuning is superb for this tune but you can really easily play wrong 
notes and the chord voicing is very different from a German Major 
diatonic.  I'm also liking it on a chromatic.  The Melody Maker doesn't 
employ any obvious bends and the legato is a lot better than with a 
standard diatonic.  Earlier I said I used a special tuning, what I meant 
by that was the SBS I use is in F# and the MM is also in F# although Lee 
would no doubt call it a Db because the MM is labled in 2nd position.
