Hey Robert,
I really enjoyed your reminiscing. Wow, you sure
got to hang with some heavyweights! Too cool.
You ended your post with "Night Owl Blues," and it
triggered a personal harp memory for me.
I can remember being so surprised hearing that song
for the first time on one of my older sister's
Lovin' Spoonful albums... This CAN'T be the same
dude that plays "What a Day For a Daydream"...
impossible!! Hah! Too cool!
John Sebastian went up several notches in my book
after I heard that. Too cool.
Interestingly, later that same day I heard Jonathan
Edwards doing "The Shanty Song" on the radio. The
seeds were definitely sewn.
But that was before I actually bought my first
harp. On ~that~ day I also bought "Sonny Boy
Williamson Live with the Yardbirds." That became my
bible... wore it plumb out.
Cheers!
Harpin' in Colorado,
