[Harp-L] Microtrack / M-Audio Recorder

I have the feeling this recorder has been discussed recently. As I look back
in my digests I can't seem to locate the posts so I will bring it up one
more time if that ok.

 

I just bought one of these Microtracks over the weekend. I am not real good
at tech stuff so it remains in the box until I read the manual and hopefully
get some feedback from here. I got it for what looks to be a rock bottom
price- $299.00 Now the questions: 1)How easy is it to get up and running for
the technically challenged 2) How good is that mic that is included. Any
other feedback appreciated. I have 30 days to bring it back so if anyone has
better ideas let me know as well. 

 

I plan on using it as a songwriting tool as well as a simple road recorder.
I am putting together a little busking show to take to NYC. It will be cool
to capture some live street scenes sounds w/ a harp soundtrack.  Live from
NY in Washington Square..its Warren Bee            !
