Agree that it sounds bogus to say that not sealing the comb on all surfaces 
has the intention of keeping the "wooden" feel. I have one harp from Bob 
Meehan who seals all surfaces. It still feels fine. Let's face it, Hohner 
probably just wanted to upgrade as inexpensively as possible. There must be 
significant cost factors to completely seal the comb. As a former carpenter 
and woodworker I would agree with jross that it doesn't make sense to not 
seal all surfaces. Moisture will get in and may even produce worse swelling 
when it only has limited surfaces to evaporate through. Just a hunch.
I agree that the S20 is a fine mass production instrument.
