Joni Mitchell did an interview on the radio a few months back. She
said she uses at least 55 different tunings on her guitar.

How do you know this? Can you direct me to a source to confirm
this information and the subsequent conclusion? Guitars are also
tuned all over the map, what do you think a dropped D tuning etc
is? Guitars have tuning issues and guitar players are very able to
adjust the pitch of chords as they play. There are about a zillion
out of tune guitars out there, objectively and subjectively. fjm
