Richard,
I surely couldn't have said it better. What a great spirit Douglas was. He 
had a love for our instrument and its players that was unequaled. He used 
that love to be the ultimate bridge between the old school chromatic and 
diatonic camps.
And, what a great sense of humor. Douglas will be sorely missed.
