RE: [Harp-L] Sniping on Ebay



Let me restate it; All things being equal, the sniper program will get the
last bid, and win every time. Of course, it's bid has to be higher, but
just like you, it has a "proxy bid" level, and if you bid $100.00 it will
automatically bid $101 and you will not have a chance to bid again. (It's
impossible for you to bid again after a sniper program has triggered) Just
being aware that they are there, and setting your proxy bid high enough
will win, but you may pay more that you had hoped. And fortunately, every
auction does not have a sniper program waiting in the background.
