That is a very good suggestion. I play with earplugs, also, if the stage 
sound is too loud. My hearing is hypersensitive in many ranges and sound 
becomes confused above a certain volume. While I seldom need earplugs to 
play with bluegrass bands, I have worn them frequently when I work with 
bands in other music genres.
