Dennis Greunling spent over a year stowed in an apt in New Orleans learning
LW BW.et al..etc note for note..and to my ears he has his own sound...I
wonder how many great musicians in any instrument did not initially imitate
the masters of their own instruments before them.. The only thing that seems
obvious to me is that there is no right or wrong way to develop your own
sound....Chris is a very interesting player because he came from one
direction...Rod Piazza, Kim Wilson, Jason Ricci..etc..etc all learned
differently..your are all good!!! There are a lot of great ideas on this
post!
