Since it would appear no one on the list will be able to help you out, you
might try to look up the chamber of commerce and the city websites for DC
and see if there is any help there. The chamber of commerce might be your
best source for tourism info, like where to stay. There may even be a
tourism office for DC since it is subject to so much tourism. If there is
nothing there in your budget, try the surrounding areas, cities, and states.
Most places in that part of the country are fairly close to one another, so
you have a lot of choices. Since DC isn't in any particular US state, many
of the people who work in DC live in other states which are adjacent, like
Maryland, Delaware, and Virginia.
