If PB had done no more than Driftin' and his solo on Mystery Train with The Band,he would still count as a harp great in my book.Also throw in Nutpopper#1 and his version of "Just to be with you "and ,well ,'res ipsa locquitar'.
Its kinda easy to rate his abilities against a difficulty to play level nowadays,in which case it could be argued that it wasn't the most technically complicated ,but consider trying to come up with/compose his lines de novo.
He played harp as opposed to riffs.
