IMHO knowing how to play one or two overblows doesn't make one a more 
advanced player if the overblowing player's other musical components (i.e. timing, 
tone, feel, groove, texture) are not as good as the non-overblowing musician's 
musical components. 

The concept that overblowing is *more advanced* is, I think, the part that 
stirs up some folks. I think it is simply another of many techniques that 
individuals can like or not like as they see fit.

I don't want to sound like anybody but me. And me is the sum of what I've 
heard plus whatever else I can bring to it.
