It turns out that the Michael Rubin for whom HJ will be playing is a 
different fellow than the one referenced by Michael Harp above and who 
people might remember from Harp-L posts a few years back.

The Rubin of Harp's reference above is alive and well in Austin, still 
gigs and still gives harp instruction.  He's the one that folks might 
remember from SPAH last year.
