Damn John. What happened?
I met Michael in New York around 1999 while in line at the Blue Note. We
were both in town to see Toots. We started a conversation and I found he had
some of his cd's with him. I bought one from him. He was a fine harmonica
player. I believe he wrote many posts on this list years ago when he was
taking jazz harp lessons. He would give updates on his progress.
I recall him saying he played the harp part on Big River for a few months
while he was living in New York. A real nice guy. damn. He was one of the
good guys.
