Subject: Interval question(s) (an easy one)
Hey guys,
i just wanted to hear this for sure. the interval
often used on a diatonic, the draw 2/5, is that a
perfect 5th?
what about say, the draw 3/6? what interval is that?
or the 3/4 draw, the 4/5 draw?
thanks in advance,

Hi there Jp
On a Richter layout diatonic:
Draw 2 & 5 is a minor 7th interval,
eg. notes G and F.
Draw 3 & 6 is also a minor 7th interval.
eg. notes B and A.
Draw 3 & 4 is a minor 3rd.
eg. notes B and D.
Draw 4 & 5 is also a minor 3rd.
eg. notes D and F.
You can work this out by the number of semitones between any two notes.
G and F is an interval of 10 semitones.
B and A " " " " 10 semitones.
B and D " " " " 3 semitones.
D and F " " " " 3 semitones.
There is another way of looking at these intervals but thats outside the scope
of what I assume you were asking.
Regards,
G.
