Daily Almanac - August 21

Chord harmonica legend Alan Pogson was born on this day in 1915. Alan
played with the Harmonica Hi-Hats and the Harmonica Rascals during the
1930's and $0's and is credited with creating the chord harmonica opening to
"Peg O' My Heart".

Classical harmonica soloist Tommy Reilly was born on this day in 1921.
Reilly's father was a harmonica band leader in the 1930's and Tommy really
honed his skills when he spent most of World War two in a German prison
camp. He became one of the top Classical harmonica players in the world and
had several concertos composed for him.

That's all I have for today. Have fun and practice.
